Sewing can be easy, let me show you how. I offer a range of sewing courses for all abilities, making blinds, curtains and cushions. 

Roman blind in a day

In this workshop we will aim to make a Roman blind tailor made to your own measurements in a day. This course will take you through each of the steps necessary to construct a blind from measuring a window, making your lining and rod pockets, through to hand sewing and blind assembly. Due to the small class size it is suitable for any ability. Course includes tuition,use of machines, drinks and homemade cake. You'll need to bring your face fabric and a packed lunch. Linings and other materials are a additional cost as this will vary dependent on the size of blind.

Cushion making morning

In this workshop you will make a scatter cushion. Piped, enveloped, frilled, trimmed or fringed scatter cushion  you decide. Course includes  a cushion pad in feather or fibre and any other materials, except face fabric or trimming if required. Suitable for any ability due to the small class size.

Curtain making

Learn to make bespoke hand stitched curtains with a heading of your choice. In this class you will learn how to construct a lined curtain with interlining if you wish. Depending on the size of your curtains and your ability, I endeavour that by the end of the day you will go home confident, with the skills needed to complete your pair of curtains at home. Suitable for any ability due to small class size. Course includes tuition, use of machines, drinks and homemade cake . Linings and other materials are a additional cost as this will vary dependent on the size of curtains.
